Tom Gamache Bio

Tom Gamache

Tom Gamache experienced the wonder and beauty of the outdoors exploring the lakes, rivers and mountains growing up in New England. He attended Boston University’s School of Public Communication where he studied photography and broadcasting. Tom’s earlier career included successful commercial work in both fields. His interest in broadcasting continues, but it is in the field of Landscape Art Photography that he has found mastery, accomplishment and fulfillment.

After more than 25 years as a professional fine art photographer, Gamache has become synonymous with exquisite natural and cultural landscape art photography. His company "Wandering Around Outdoors" was appropriately named for his legendary road trip adventures, often covering many thousands of on-the-ground miles discovering and resolving his experiences into images that capture the art, the power and the ever-changing personality of nature.

Based upon his years of experience, Tom offered the first "Masters Program" photography workshop more than five years ago. Combining both classroom examples and field assignments, the Masters Program is a proven, concise and easy to follow curriculum that describes and demonstrates principles, devices and secrets used for centuries by world renowned masters of both painted and photographic landscapes. You will also be shown how to apply what you learn during the workshop to specific landscape workshop's locations, as the Masters Program emphasizes exercising camera control, both digital and film, so you can capture nature's beauty and complexity just as the Masters did.

His work appears in many domestic and international books and magazines as well as interpretive displays and visitor centers from Maine's Acadia National Park to Sequoia/Kings Canyon, Death Valley and Yosemite National Parks in California. Other recent credits include:
